This Sunday in the bandshell, June 25 at 1:00pm, is the Nepean Concert Band

The final concert of the SoundWaves Ottawa 2017 series will feature the well known Nepean Concert Band.  The Nepean  Concert Band has been entertaining Ottawa residents for over 40 years.

Nepean - 15      No stranger to the bandshell, they will continue to entertain audiences on June 25th and then every other Wednesday throughout the summer as part of their Summer Sounds Series.

This Sunday, June 18, 1pm, in the bandshell it’s the Ottawa Valley Massed Air Cadet Band

Free concert music on Sunday afternoons in June at Andrew Haydon Park. This week in the bandshell features the Ottawa Valley Massed Air Cadet Band. This band gathers cadets from the National Capital Region and highlights their musical talents on drum offs, bagpipes and marches.

This 40 piece band will celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday by featuring music with links to Canadian provinces.

Pack a lunch, sit in the shade and enjoy a musical journey across Canada.

June 4 Concert Cancelled

weatherToday’s concert with Two Beats Ahead Jazz Band is cancelled due to poor weather conditions.

 

Two Beats Ahead Jazz Band performs this Sunday, June 4, at 1pm.

Don’t miss  our first concert of the season  June 4, 1pm, at Andrew Haydon Park.

This Sunday in the bandshell it’s the big band sounds of Two Beats Ahead Jazz Band. Enjoy a trip back to the 1940’s and listen to classic stands like All of Me and Suit and Tie.

Every Sunday in June community bands from across Ottawa will provide free music which is sure to delight both young and old alike.

Andrew Haydon is a beautiful city park. There is a play structure for the young ones, and lots of shade to keep cool while enjoying the music.

Future Sunday concerts will feature bands from Barrhaven and Nepean and the Air Cadets from the Ottawa Valley.  It’s fun, its free, and its a great way to spend an afternoon.
